While at Harvard, Dr. Bissell was awarded the James H. Shaw Award for excellence in biomedical research. He also served on the faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine as a clinical instructor in Periodontology.
Before attending Harvard, Dr. Bissell earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he completed an Honors Periodontics program and earned admission into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Bissell was also the first Hines Scholar at the Forsyth Dental Research Center. Dr. Bissell, a Long Island native, enjoys golf when he is not spending time with his wife, two sons, and daughter.
