I was in severe pain this Wednesday and went into Franklinville Dentistry and saw the dentist. I have had 5 procedures in the last 3 weeks done by two different dentists because the one doesn't do root canals. Had a cleaning, whitening, 2 root canals at 2 separate times, and was fitted for a permanent bridge and crown. My bridge was taken off and put back on 3 times in the last 3 weeks. I stopped in because this is very close to my home and I was in severe pain. The Franklinville Dentist diagnosed me as needing another root canal and that being the source of the pain. I wanted a second opinion and also couldn't tolerate any further procedures. I then left, found out I DO NOT need another root canal. The pain is from tissue and ligament damage and has nothing to do with the other tooth that supposedly needed a root canal. This dentist texted me after my appointment from his personal cell phone and said, "I hope you get the help you need." This guy is unbelievable, insinuating that I… might have a drug problem because I was looking for relief from serious serious dental pain is absolutely crazy. I wanted a second opinion because this guy has some terrible reviews and he's not a root canal specialist. Read the reviews, be careful with this guy, he's a handful. Trying to gaslight me into thinking I have a drug problem and force me to do a procedure I don't need to do. I am a Licensed Counselor, Executive and Clinical Director of a Healthcare Facility, and a Professor at a local college. Trust me, don't go here, my experience with this office was deplorable. There are plenty of compassionate and ethical providers out there, leave this place alone.

Dr. Todd Gottlieb should refer out root canals and oral surgery endodontist and oral surgeons, but he attempts to do the work himself. My family went elsewhere to fix his mistakes which is costly, and some things could not be fixed. Some examples we experienced: he did not treat an infection after a botched root canal until the third repeat visit for unresolved pain when he finally diagnosed and treated the infection that spread to an adjacent tooth and caused irreparable damage to both teeth. He cracked a tooth trying to remove a cap. He broke a file in the root of tooth trying to do a root canal. He malpositioned an implant leading to permanent damage.
