Dr. William Robert Hanna

My family and I have been going to Bill Hanna for about 20 years. The one thing I’m always impressed with Bill and his staff is how informative they are. I know I’m getting the best dental care while experiencing a friendly and professional environment.

Semi Annual checkup. Admin staff friendly & insurance savvy. Hygienist does a great job. Dr Hanna has lasted tech. Does extractions, and all other general dentistry

I've been a patient of Dr. Hanna for over 30 years. Mostly cleaning and xrays. In there every 6 months. Always paid my bill. His office which is in the medical district was close to my office and convenient for me. Now, all of a sudden he, out of the blue, refuses to give me the antibiotics I need to take before having my teeth cleaned. I have mitral valve prolapse as well as having had an ablation on my heart and have a pacemaker in place. I know that several years ago the American Heart Association "decreed" that it isn't necessary to take the antibiotics anymore but doctors leave it up to the patient. Knowing how often these "associations" change their minds about things I've always opted to take the antibiotics because having a mitral valve replaced can't be much fun. I'm at a loss to understand this high handed treatment of a long standing patient. I actually called back and talked to the receptionist again but she said it was his decision. She said that I'd have to… get the antibiotics from my family doctor. Well, I worked in the medical field 44 years and I know that no doctor is going to give a patient antibiotcs for something they are not treating them for and he gave me less than a week to do this. Just crazy. I hung up, went on line, found another dentist closer to my home and cancelled my appointment with Dr. Hanna. I can only imagine that he has begun making unreasonable and irrational decisions as he nears retirement age and it is now time for me to move on.

The receptionist Jonie was rude and disrespectful. She said they don't want to take my dental insurance and would not offer for me to pay out of pocket.I called the next day and asked for an office manager and she laughed at me and hung up. No way to treat your patients. I can't imagine how the dentist's keep customers when the front desk treats people like this.
