Oral Surgeon Douglas Von Kaenel
Dr. Von Kaenel was born and raised in Marion, Ohio and joined the OMSC team in 2009. He currently heads up our Heath office. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wittenberg University where he also played four years of college football. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois where he was awarded chief resident. He spent the three years previous to joining our team serving as an oral surgeon in the Navy.
Dr. Von Kaenel is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, WD Miller Local Dental Society and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Von Kaenel is board certified by the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Von Kaenel and his wife Allison …have four young children: Cole, Kaia, Quinn and Kenna. He is a sports enthusiast and loves Ohio State Football.
