Dr. Richard Dwight Meadows, DO

First visit to establish care, Dr. Meadows came into the room and immediately began to berate me for being sick. He did not take a history, or do an exam. I went in for help managing a long term illness. He'd met me only seconds before launching into a dismissive assault against me and the physicians who'd previously treated me. Every answer I gave him in the rare times he let me speak was twisted; he put words in my mouth and cornered me much like prosecutor in a trial. This had nothing to do with pain medication or other scheduled drugs. I have no history with this and did not request any medication of this kind. I was simply looking for a pcp who would help me manage an established illness which was taking my quality of life piece by piece. I knew there was no cure. I was simply looking for hope, an alternative, a referral, anything different. What I got was a belligerent bully who only made me feel worse about being sick. He did not even understand how to interpret the labs I… brought him from the physicians who'd confirmed this illness. I left feeling more hopeless than ever. If you're looking for hope, don't go into a room with this man. He doesn't have it in him to give.
