Dr. Anthony Logli, MD, practices at OrthoIllinois, a division of OrthoMidwest, where he specializes in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of the upper extremity. Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Logli credits his father, a building engineer, with instilling in him the foundational skills needed to build and repair, as well as a strong work ethic and appreciation for craftsmanship. These early lessons inspired Dr. Logli’s passion for using his hands and ultimately influenced his decision to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Logli developed a fascination with the mechanics of the human body and its remarkable capacity for both injury and repair. This interest led him to complete rigorous undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago, where he was also a four-year catcher for the Maroons baseball team. His experience as a student-athlete provided him with a unique understanding of the challenges faced by athletes and their families, and equipped him with the skills …necessary to collaborate effectively with athletes and sports teams to facilitate safe and efficient return to play following injuries.
Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Logli earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. During his time as a medical student, he was first introduced to OrthoIllinois at its Rockford clinic, where he learned about orthopedic specialties from several of his future colleagues. The organization’s patient-centric and high-quality approach to care made a lasting impression, and Dr. Logli is proud to now be part of the OrthoIllinois team.
Motivated by a desire to help patients maintain or regain active, pain-free lives, Dr. Logli sought out the highest level of training available. He completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at the esteemed Mayo Clinic, followed by an additional year of intensive fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. During this fellowship, he acquired advanced skills in precise microvascular and reconstructive procedures involving the hand, elbow, and shoulder joints.
In his current role, Dr. Logli considers the entire limb when developing individualized treatment plans for his patients. He manages a wide range of acute, chronic, and traumatic conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in both pediatric and adult patients. Among the many services he offers, Dr. Logli is particularly excited to provide an alternative surgical option for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome—Carpal Tunnel Release with Ultrasound Guidance—which delivers significant benefits, including immediate motion of the hand for rapid recovery.
Dr. Logli is dedicated to guiding his patients toward greater function and a pain-free life. He is committed to delivering a warm, welcoming, and positive experience for each patient, emphasizing a personalized approach and ensuring a thorough understanding of each condition and its optimal treatment options.
Very thoughtful and caring doctor. Took the time to explain the options I needed to choose from as it’s rare that there is only one clear option.
