Dr. Francisco Antonio Rodriguez, MD

I am suffering from stage 4 colon cancer. I have gone to may oncologists for second opinions but,, Dr Rodriguez genuinely cares about his patients. He spends time with you and ensures you when your fears get the best of you. He is always checking with their clinical trial department to see if they have any openings. He doesnt forget you, he is always working for his patients to ensure they get the best of care. I am truly blessed to have met him and put the rest of my time here in his hands. I know he will and has done everything for me.

Dr. Rodriguez is wonderful! He took time with me to help me work through my fears. I always left his office feeling positive and relieved. He is warm and compassionate. He always gave me a hug and just made me feel better. I knew I was in good hands.

Great doctor, good manners, very knowledgeable, very proactive in the treatment, very sweet and never seem in a rush. The whole team is great. Katherine his assistant very efficient.

This doctor is caring and a parnter with you in fighting your disease. Answers all questions, willing to spend as much time as you need him to, with you. His PA, Dee..just as nice and caring. They are a great team, they make you feel you are not alone. They obviously care about what they are doing.

My husband was under the care of this doctor. Beginning, we were very impressed with his professionalism. Then it appeared we were going to actually see his P.A. more than doctor. Being a serious/life threatening disease we requesting to only see doctor on visits. The attidute of him changed. Felt we were not really 'needed' anymore. The facilities of FCS are overcrowded. Dirty and a nurse/tech did not wear gloves during an IV. The tretament rooms have you sitting side by side and no privacy at all. The nurses at FCS are wonderful. But so busy they cannot really give a cancer the care they would like to as a nurse. FCS is a private company to make profit and sometimes you could really feel that.

Met Dr Rodriguez this past week after learning by ACCIDENT I was sick. His demeanor was pleasant, the 6 minutes he spent with me. Dee his PA seems to be caring. I have only met them one time to date, and so far and my impression is 'ahh'. Hence the hoping for improvement.. The nurses that administer the medications are so overwhelmed with the amount of patients( that seem to just be herded like cattle to the treatment area) that the constant alerting of IV pumps from patients who's medication has run out, or the line is occluded, is deafening. I have waited an average of 2 hours each visit. Two hours in the waiting area, just sitting, not having medication administered. Then 4-5 hours of treatment. If you are visiting this facility make sure you have ALL DAY.
