Dr. Hisham R Ashry, MD

I called Dr. Ashry's office with severe foot pain. I was told I need a referral. I immediately call my primary care physician and requested a referral. When I checked with my primary care physician three days later to check on the disposition of the referral I was told I "don't need a referral for an appointment, and only need a referral for a procedure which I wasn't having. On 3/29/24 at 9:11am I called Dr. Hisham Ashry office for the second time (first on 3/26), now three days later. Once again I was told I needed a referral. I conveyed I was advised by my primary care physician and Humana I don't need a referral! She was adamant, and would not make an appointment. I asked to speak with the Office Manger, who said she could not take the call but would call me back "but once again conveyed NO APPOINTMENT without a referral. The practice was NOT responsive, and rude. NEEDLESS TO SAY I CHOSE ANOTHER PRACTICE.

Ankle pain for 2 yrs after running 1\2 marathon. saw 2 orthopedists and podiatrist in Miami. sent to physical therapy, given medications and splints all without relief. In fact, physical therapy was making my ankle worse and I was missing work. my mom sees dr. Ashry in Boynton and she made appt for me. He sent me for MRI, (which no other one did), diagnosed my problem as peroneal tendon injury. put me in cast for 3 weeks, made orthotics to take pressure off that tendon. Wow, all I can say is that I'm pain free after 2 years and back to running and not missing work. Thank you Dr. Ashry. Staff/office: nice and welcoming, sometimes long wait. Dr. Ashry: knowledgeable, cares about you as a patient, great skills and personality, always felt like I'm in good hands. Well worth the drive from Miami.

If I could I’d give it a minus star. flew down to Florida to see Dr Ashry about having bunion surgery there so I could recuperate in the warm weather. I waited 2 1/2 hours before I walked out never seeing the doctor. Other patients also in the waiting room complaining about waiting so long.

I recently saw Dr. Ashry after my regular podiatrist referred him to me for the complicated surgery that I require on my foot. Dr. Ashry provided me with three different surgical options and carefully listened to my questions and concerns. He took a lot of time with me, showing a great deal of intelligence as well as empathy and, after seeing several different doctors to assess their qualifications and knowledge, I have definitely chosen to let Dr. Ashry do my surgery.

Dr Ashry has been my grandfathers podiatrist for over 4 years now. He is absolutely wonderful!
