Dr. MARK SMITH, OD is a BOARD CERTIFIED OPTOMETRISTAfter graduating from Seminole High School, Dr. Mark Smith received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Florida State University.He received a second Bachelor’s Degree in Physiological Optics and then his Doctorate in Optometry at Southern College, also completing an externship in Ocular Disease at VEF Eye Center at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.Dr. Smith returned to his hometown to enter private practice and became the Center Director for an ocular disease & surgery referral center owned by Omega Health Systems. Currently, Dr. Smith lives in St. Petersburg, where he joined the ophthalmology practice within Suncoast Medical Clinic and has practiced there for over twenty-five years.He is a member of the American Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association.
