Dr. Ricardo Garcia Jr, DO

Dr. Ricardo Garcia recently treated me for a broken foot and plantar fasciitis. He explained in detail each phase of treatment in a way I could easily understand. It is not a simple task to be everlastingly patient with an old person who doesn't move very quickly nor hear very well, but Dr. Garcia never left the impression that he was in a hurry or that I needed to be. He was pleasant, thorough, gentle and caring and is obviously well versed in his field. Beyond that he is just a kind young man. My family and extended family have been patients at Central Texas Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics for many years beginning when my mother broke her hip and Dr. Barry Solcher looked like he was 12 years old. Dr. Garcia is a great addition to the practice and we in B-CS are fortunate to have him as is CTSM&O. I am grateful for his kindness and my progress, and impressed by his expertise.

He explained everything thing I needed to know ,I have been to him multiple times and does a great job on explaining what I need to do and what I can do to help prevent or help not hurt the injury even worse

Dr. Garcia worked with a 12-year-old soccer player, who had a growth plate fracture, through the diagnosis, physical therapy, and follow up visits for lingering pain. He explained the causes of the pain and how to manage it. Service in the office is also very efficient and courteous.

I saw Dr Garcia for persistent heel pain that I’d had for months. After x-rays and a complete examination he sat and took the time to explain the condition thoroughly and recommended a treatment. His knowledge and expertise put me at ease and he proceeded. He explained every step of the way and was done before I knew it. I would highly recommend him as he is Outstanding and we are very fortunate to have him in the College Station/ Bryan area.

I had the privilege of shadowing Dr. Garcia over the course of a couple months at Central Texas Sports Medicine. The first thing I noticed about Dr. Garcia was how much he genuinely cared for his patients. This was most evident in the treatment he prescribed and in his explanation for the treatment he chose. Dr. Garcia tailored his treatments so that it would be optimal for each patient. Also in our discussions following patient visits, I could easily see his high level of intelligence as he explained these complex medical problems with ease, and not just those related to sports medicine, but all disciplines of medicine. When you compare Dr. Garcia’s comprehensive approach, high level of intelligence, and genuine care for his patients, it is easy to see why he is repeatedly chosen to train residents from A&M Medical School and why Texas A&M Athletics send their athletes to him. Without a doubt, Dr. Garcia is one of the best physicians I have worked with. I would highly recommend him to… any of my own friends and family.

For several weeks I had this pain in my right elbow so I made an appointment with Dr. Ricardo Garcia. Their installations are A+. Front desk assistants are customer oriented. Took care of all insurance issues. They have a well equipped X-Ray lab. Dr. Garcia reviewed my case and explained me the possible causes of my pain. We narrowed it down to the one causing the problem. Dr. Garcia suggested a treatment and recommended I visit a therapist for additional exercises. The medications were effective almost immediately and with the help of the therapist, the pain was reduced in almost 80%. Follow up with Dr. Garcia went smoothly and the pain is almost gone. Do not hesitate and visit Dr. Garcia if you ever have any sort of orthopedic issues.

Dr. Garcia takes the time to sit down and explain exactly what is going on with my bones, joints and muscles. He shares the treatment alternatives with me in clear language, helps to plan how to navigate the insurance mess and helps me plan how to live with my condition

I received excellent care from Dr. Garcia for my recent injury. He always took time to explain xrays, treatment, and recovery with me. I didn't feel like he was rushing to see the next patient. His entire staff is great as well. I would definitely recommend him!
