Dr. Erica Rivas De Srinivasa, MD

Dr. Erica M. Rivas de Srinivasa is the medical director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neurology Institute of Austin. She specializes in neuroimmunological disorders of the central nervous system, with clinical expertise in multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica (Devic’s disease), autoimmune encephalitis, and other rare conditions affecting the brain and spinal cord. Her practice emphasizes advanced diagnostic evaluation and personalized immunological therapies for complex neurological disease.

Dr. Rivas completed a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at the University of Southern California, followed by a neurology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, received an educational grant from the Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ACTRIMS), and is fluent …in both English and Spanish.

An active contributor to the field, Dr. Rivas serves on the Hispanic/Latinx advisory board of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) and has authored publications on multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC), and the Texas Medical Society (TMS). Dr. Rivas was named one of Austin’s Top Doctors 2024 for Neurology.
