I have very painful foot problems due to bunions and constant calluses. I went to a podiatrist in Montebello who took xrays, told me my foot was in bad shape with bones breaking and I needed surgery on both feet. The office was nice, as was the staff, but the doctor was rough and demeaned the assistant in my presence which I did not appreciate. I have since retired and now on Medicare. After researching, I liked the reviews for Dr. Chan. He took quite a bit of time to explain to me I. Great detail why my feet were in pain and what made the bunions grow. He told me that he was among many doctors who are trying to avoid medications, injections and surgeries as the first step. He is trying other methods to help realign my foot (and not just the bunions). I like his holistic approach and would strongly recommend him. His office isn’t the best looking but the attentive, kind and gentle patient care is greatly appreciated.

I was very pleased with Dr chan. He is very comical but knew what he was talking about.I only saw him once.

A couple years ago I notice my left foot was not quite right. later I had some pain at the toe joint. I went to see a neighberhood doctor and she treated me for more than a year with no progress while my left foot became more and more numb and after a day of work ,in the evening I felt pain in my foot, leg and abdomen. Finally had pain in my foot bottom ligament and she told me it was inflamed and gave me a shot and told me this injection will be needed from time to time. She never told me that it was flat-foot. I saw an ad and I went to see a foot doctor at Hacienda Heights. This guy had an office full of patients and he is a real rip-off artist. He advertised in all newspapers and all the new patients were given exams. He had the MRI, pulse,...even salvia exams performed in his office by 4 different contractors and the cost to Medicare is $4000. He told me I had flat foot due to old age and told me to buy some $40 a pair shoe cushions. After that, he did not see me any more because… my money value for him was over. He had better concentrated on the new suckers. Finally a friend recommended Dr Chan and he diagnosed that old age flat foot caused the foot to twist inward and thus caused the pain. he measured with X-ray my foot and ordered a plastic mold for my feet. Dr Chan explained to me my problem and his diagnosis was correct to me since I am an engineer. I am lucky this time because if not treated properly, eventually I will need hip replacement due to the constant inward twist of my flat foot. This is such a simple case and I believe a pediatrician sees dozens a month but some doctor just want to let things get worse so that there is an excuse of mayor surgery.
