Dr. Kamran Khan is a board-eligible plastic surgeon and CEO of Amelia Aesthetics South Florida in Boynton Beach. Dr. Khan believes that every patient’s journey is personal and deserves a plan that reflects that. Dr. Khan completed his integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, where he received comprehensive training across both cosmetic and complex reconstructive procedures. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba, building a strong foundation in clinical medicine and surgical care.

Dr. Khan has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has been actively involved in advancing research within plastic surgery. His academic work spans reconstructive techniques, wound care, surgical outcomes, and emerging technologies.

He has a particular focus on the role of artificial intelligence in surgical education and patient care. His published research, including “Unveiling the Potential of AI in Plastic Surgery Education” (PRS Global Open, 2024), was among the first to directly compare multiple AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Google Bard, and others, within a plastic surgery training context. His work demonstrated how AI can support surgical education while also highlighting its limitations and the importance of responsible use.Beyond research, Dr. Khan is a contributor to Plasty Q, an AI-powered plastic surgery education platform designed to support surgical trainees through personalized, clinically relevant learning. His broader goal is to help integrate technology into medicine in a way that enhances, not replaces, clinical judgment and patient care.

Dr. Khan’s academic contributions include numerous presentations at national plastic surgery meetings, as well as involvement in peer review for leading medical journals.
