I will stay with Dr Kunam because she is both intelligent and extremely caring

Dr. Kunam is very professional and cares immensely about her patients. She was very informative throughout the process by identifying potential treatment plans and discussing the potential side effects of each treatment. Highly recommend for all psychiatric needs.

I really like Dr. Kunam. After seeing several different psychiatrists due to me having to move and because my mental health practice having high turnover, I can say Dr. Kunam is my favorite (though my other psychiatrists were good, as well). In addition to my mental health, Dr. Kunam asks about other aspects of my health to treat my condition as part of a whole, rather than just asking if my medications are working. She often asks about my sleeping, and also asks about my long-term joint pain to see if there are any therapies that may be beneficial without having to keep adding medications (although we also discuss medication options, as well). For example, to help with my joint pain she suggested seeing a functional medicine practice to see if a dietician and acupuncture/dry needling may help with my pain, or seeing if a chiropractor might help since the rheumatologist couldn't find any cause for my pain. Relief from my pain could also help improve my mood symptoms. I appreciate… this attention to detail and willingness to treat me as a whole, rather than just the mental health symptoms.
