If you're looking for compassion and someone who is willing to work with you, look elsewhere. This guy will not be there when you need him, blame you for not making appointments with him WHEN YOU CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM, and hound you until you pay exorbitant fee for him to discuss with you what you already know- that you need to stay on a certain medication that another doctor already prescribed for you.

After being seen previously by 2 other doctors that did not take the time to listen I was lucky enough to find Dr. Schmidtz. I was on a downward spiral being prescribed medication that was wrong for me and now I feel back to normal and able to enjoy my wonderful life again. If you are looking for a doctor who truly cares about his patients I suggest you give him a try, you won't regret it.

I was a patient of Dr. Ryan (I always called him that!) at Central Clinic and I must say, he's a remarkable Doc as well as a person. I looked forward to seeing him for my issues and was disheartened by his leaving, but I knew that anyone else who got to/gets to see him will be as greatful and appreciative to have him!

I recently switched to Dr. Schmidtz from my previous doctor of 10 years. He has blonde hair, very light skin-tone, and appears VERY young - but don't let that fool you. He is an extremely capable doctor. He listens, then works WITH you to develop a treatment plan that is reasonable for you instead of just reading from an "approved treatment" script. That alone makes him head and shoulders above other new doctors who have basically become insurance plan puppets. Next, he is knowledgeable about new meds and interactions, and will suggest substitutions where beneficial for you. Finally, (as I believe EVERY doctor should) Dr. Schmidtz reviews your entire medical history/chart, addresses any (possible) drug reactions, and will go as far as to coordinate with the other doctor's office to achieve the best plan for your health. I highly recommend Dr. Ryan Schmidtz, and would recommend him to friends and family.
