Dr. Lisa Jo Gears, MD

I met Dr. Lisa Gears when I was 15 years old and was hospitalized due to an unknown illness that made me extremely sick. Dr. Gears thoroughly asked me questions, did several tests, and was by my side through it all. We found out that I had Celiac disease and Ovarian cysts. Without Dr. Gears' diligence to find the source of my problem, I could have died from dehydration. She saved my life. I am 19 years old now, and I refuse to see any other doctors, even though she is a pediatric doctor, she still welcomes me to her office with open arms. I can tell her anything and not worry about being judged. She is extremely understanding of me and helped me so much through the tough times in my teen years. I would highly recommend her. She clearly loves her job and loves to help others. She is truly a blessing in my life.

My daughter has an eating disorder and was very honest with Dr. Gears. Dr. Gears really showed interest into my daughter's feelings and actually called to make an appointment for my daughter. She went above and beyond to address her mental and physical needs. I have never met a doctor as nice or caring as Dr. Gears.
