Dr. Tameka Rhonique Lee, MD

I brought my son to see Dr. Lee for an ingrown toenail. He was scared to death. She was clearly busy. The office was packed. But she sensed his anxiety and took time to put him at ease. We love her. Shea the BEST!

I live in Jasper, but I was referred to Dr. Lee so I traveled to Birmingham. I have been a diabetic for 20 years. At the time I had seen 2 other doctors and had a pretty grim outlook for my left foot. I saw Dr. Lee and she was immediately on top of things. A lot of things that I needed were finally done. In the end, she was able to save my foot.

I was seen in Dr. Lee's office and I have never out out of 50 years of going to a Dr. to have the Dr. question me or ask for a payment. I was asked to pay $100.00 toward a deductible that I did not have. I tried explaining to her that I did not have a deductible. I also called someone in benefits to explain that there was no deductible. I was forced to sign a document stating that I owed her more than $500.00 in deductibles. This was all done while I was in the examining/treatment room. I am a Tenet employee and she is a in network Doctor. This makes me wonder if I was treated in this manner how are other patients being treated that is not a Tenet employee. My conclusion is that money is more important than the patient. When I got my BCBS bill I had overpaid. I immediately call for my refund and they did have it posted back to my medical spending account card. That was the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced at a Doctor's office. I

I saw Dr. Lee for an issue that had been bothering me for years. She took time to hear my complaint and explain how I could get better. Its been 2 months and I feel significantly better. I would recommend anyone to her.
