Very caring physician who explains medical problems and treatments well.

I have degenerative spine disease and in horrible pain. His office told me that I needed to go to counseling so I could start talking about my pain and learn how to deal with it. Really?? I hope they are never in my situation and told to just go talk about it & deal with it.

My mother suffered a work related injury and was sent to this physician. She complained of dizziness and constant pain. He clearly didn't care and he talked over her. He stopped her workmans comp and sent her back to work. Her first day back she had to be wheeled around in a wheelchair because she was very dizzy. The second day they sent her home. If you don't care about people you shouldn't have become a doctor.

When I met Dr Blount the first visit I was so excited. He seemed to care and said he was going to start with insoles for my shoes. Then he released me from workman’s comp without a proper MMI evaluation OR follow up. Now I’m fighting with w.c. and in constant pain because this dr refused to do the job I was sent to him for, rehab. He told me it was my choice to give into my pain. Even though I can’t walk many days. He kept telling me it was my choice.

I feel so blessed that I found Dr. Blount. He renewed my hope that Through physical therapy and injections addressing my particular problems, I could find relief of my pain. He did not rush me and explained everything explicitly. He took time to personally walk me around the pool and exercise equipment explaining my suggested therapy. Thanks to Dr. Merhle at Sports Medicine for sending me to this kind and knowledgeable doctor.

I received poor care for my condition and no explanation as to the reason for any changes. My GP is not happy either.
