He is very professional, great knowledge and excellent explanation about diagnoses, treatment plan and complications in very common language. Kind heart doctor.

Was treating my wife's pneumonia. Ordered chemical stress test. He told me and my wife, next day, she had a heart attack and he would refer a cardiologist to consult. I told him we wanted DR. Paul Jones, my personal Cardiologist and he agreed. Next day an cardiologist from a different practice than we had requested came in and said he reviewed the test results and.."your heart is fine." Dr. Chintagumpala made his rounds later that day. We told him of the cardiologists 'good' report and reminded him he clearly stated the wife had had a heart attack. He flatly denied saying it. I told him he was no longer to treat my wife and we would be requesting a replacement Hospitalist, and made that request to the patient advocate. Next day he came back in with a nurse. I told him I had zero confidence in his ability to effectively treat my wife and zero confidence in his ability to tell the truth. He was told to leave the room and he did so. He will NEVER treat any of my family.

He's an excellent friendly, charming person. Always smiling and kind. Takes time to explain situations thoroughly.
