worst experience ever

This is someone you want to avoid at all costs. It will just be a waste of your time, money, and health. She should have her license revoked. She is just concerned with getting your appointment done as quickly as possible. She stares out of the window and at her computer screen while you talk. This is very scary for someone who actually needs a doctor.

This nurse stared at her computer screen the whole time I was there, except to say hello and goodbye. So rude. She spoke with a bizarre, far out demeanor and acted apathetic and disinterested. She started repeatedly looking out the window while I was responding to her questions. Now don’t get me wrong - everyone can have a bad day- but this went beyond that. As this was my initial appointment, I obtained all of my medical records as instructed by the office when I made the appt. Well, she failed to look at my years of medical records and therefore she clearly had no idea about my history of mental illness. When I addressed her about the main reason I was there, she blew the question off and addressed another issue. I had to ask her again and she gave me this strange and evasive answer but with no recommendations or suggestions which I needed. So I left with no hope of getting better. I went in excited to be at Duke because I feel that I needed immediate attention and get a… great psych to help me- I left and cried on the way out because it was like talking to a wall or robot, and the experience was totally frustrating and a waste of time. I can’t believe this nurse is allowed to work at Duke- I’ve been seeing drs and nurses at Duke forever and everyone has been exceptional- but this was the first terrible experience I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and find someone else if you really want help.
