Kevin Shen, MD

Dr. Kevin Shen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Rice University and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Kinesiology before going on to earn his medical degree across the street at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Shen then completed an internship at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis before returning to Houston for his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued additional training and completed a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, the top-ranked eye hospital in the United States.
Dr. Shen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He has published several articles in high-impact medical journals and presented research at various local and national meetings.
Dr. Shen specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. His …philosophy is to treat each of his patients with the same attentiveness and care that he would want for his own family members and friends. He firmly believes in developing individualized relationships with his patients to provide the best possible treatment plans to fit their specific needs.
In his free time, Dr. Shen loves spending time outdoors including activities like running, hiking, camping, climbing, and playing tennis. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, attending concerts, going to museums, and sitting down with a good book.
