Hello my name is Zachary Helton I recently had ACDF surgery performed by Dr. Smith and his team back in February of 2026. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional approach and someone who understands the nervousness associated with such a life changing surgery. He was able to explain to me the benefits of the surgery and also what to expect moving forward. I had been in a bad car accident and had tried everything from physical therapy to injections. I had spent a year in constant and worsening pain and was ready for a change! He made me feel comfortable and confident, and to me it made the whole difference! I am about 6 months out of surgery, and he remains to be supportive and talk me through what to expect going forward. I am finally experiencing some relief since the accident, and I thank him and his team for this! Highly recommend him if you are thinking about spine surgery! Huge Thank you to him and his team!

I trust Dr.Smith he has done 2 differnent lumbar discectomies on me. Very friendly. caring and courteous. Before surgery and medicine he tries PT and the shots. Last resort is surgery. Happy is my surgeon. I have referred him to family and friends.

I reside in TN, but I had to meet Dr. Smith when I was out of town in Baton Rouge. He kindly searched for the proper doctor in my home town for the future treatment: I really appreciate that!Although the doctor seemed perfect, office staffs seemed not to care about patients and they didn't correct my name in the first place: that caused me all hectic issues for pharmacy pick-up, insurance, and so on. I requested to correct my name when I fill out 10 pages of forms right before seeing a doctor!Other than that, meeting Dr.Smith was pleasant and easy.

My father saw him for treatment of pain related to degenerative arthritis in his back complicated by prostate cancer. When my dad told him he wanted some pain relief so that he could go duck hunting this fall, he actually ROLLED HIS EYES. My mother could not believe his attitude.
