Sabah Patel, MD

Sabah Patel, MD, is an endocrinologist with AdventHealth Medical Group Endocrinology at Shawnee Mission. She provides endocrinology and diabetes care for adult patients at our office in Merriam, Kansas. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University (Dow University of Health Sciences) in Pakistan. She then moved to the United States to pursue a residency in internal medicine at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where she was named Resident of the Year for exceptional outpatient clinical care. She went on to complete a fellowship in endocrinology and diabetes at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She joined AdventHealth Medical Group in 2021. Dr. Patel is Board-certified in internal medicine and Board-eligible in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Diabetes Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical …Endocrinologists and the American Thyroid Association. In addition to English, Dr. Patel is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Gujrati. She is an accomplished competitive swimmer. Her community service has included volunteering at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center Accident & Emergency Room. When she's not at the office, Dr. Patel enjoys travelling, dining out and reading.
