Saw this doctor for an emergency visit and she was great. Took her time and got my medical records from my primary care, even called him while I was there. Did a complete exam and was interested in my care. Explained everything so I could understand what was causing my gout and why I needed to stop the water pill I was taking. I've been taking my 88 year old aunt to see Dr. Fahima at least ten times already. She identified a rare combination of lupus and vasculitis; conferred with my aunt's primary and nephrologist; (who thought she was outstanding as well) and returned every phone call promptly; answered every question patiently and clearly; demonstrated a rare, sincere empathy with the patient. My aunt adores her and if I ever need a rheumatologist, she's going to be my doctor as well.

Went to another Rheumatologist in my Aetna plan who didn't care to even listen to me. My PMD sent me to Dr Fahima and she was so patient and thorough. Did extensive testing and found out I have PMR. Spent an hour with me and got all my past medical records and reviewed my X-rays with me. She was great and I am feeling so much better now. I have seen her 5 times so far and always very thorough and explains things so well. Even my crabby husband agreed he liked her after she saw him for his gout. I highly recommend her to all my friends and family.
