More about Dr. Helene Miller
We never stop learning. To become an effective and helpful psychiatrist, Dr. Miller studied extensively and dove deep into the field she’s passionate about—helping people through psychiatry. Dr. Miller received her M.D. degree in 1993 from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Furthermore, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with academic honors from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship at Hackensack University Medical Center in the Department of Medicine. She completed her training in adult psychiatry in 2006 at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey. Dr. Miller also specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry, and she completed a two-year fellowship in 2008 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, the teaching hospital of New York Medical College. Her fellowship training and specialization helps her in diagnosing and treating developmental, academic and mood disorders associated with childhood and young adulthood. She has devoted much of her time to learning the many skills needed to help people so she can better help every person who comes through Family Psychiatry and Therapy. Everyone deserves to unlock their life’s potential—and she’s emerged herself in the know-how to be able to do just that. In addition, Dr. Miller is also an anesthesiologist, and she completed a residency in anesthesiology at the prestigious Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1997. She integrates her knowledge of pain management and surgical illness into her practice. Oftentimes, mental illness and emotional distress cause much more than mental pain, but also physical pain. By having comprehensive knowledge of both sides to pain, Dr. Miller is capable of helping you with whatever you’re facing. She was recently featured as a medical expert on Channel 4 News at Five in a segment discussing stress. Her far-reaching knowledge into the field makes her an expert who’s looked to for insight and assistance.
