Summary
Dr. Vella is an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and then graduated from the top of this class at Midwestern University in Glendale. He completed his three-year residency training at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and served as Chief Resident. His residency included training in trauma, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and wound care. Dr. Vella completed an additional Fellowship in dermatology. He studied the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases of the entire body under Dr.Stephen Schleicher MD, an accomplished and experienced dermatologist based out of Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Vella has authored many published articles and continues to contribute to the Dermatology Diagnosis column in Podiatry Today.
