Dr. Hines was amazing! Very personable, clear and concise explanation of my upcoming hip replacement surgery, and overall very professional! The staff at EmergeOrtho is always professional and compassionate!

My visit with Dr. Hines was a follow up from hip replacement surgery 3 years ago. He explained the X-rays of my hips today with clarity and care. He is a first rate surgeon and a friendly and compassionate person.

Dr Hines what a gem he is! My experience with him spends time with his patients, explains & answers your questions, gentle care. I am 6 weeks post op of knee replacement & I do not have one negative complaint about him, staff & Novant orthopedic hospital .

He was seen as a post op knee replacement 4/15/2026. Dr. Hines was pleased with the replacement placement as seen on a xRay and said that the swelling will take another 3-6 months. No pain at all, now to get PT to get my walker dissed for a cane. Come back in 4 months.

Dr. Hines is so knowledgeable, so down to earth in his explanations, and easy to talk to. He did my knee replacement and it all went seamlessly from surgery right thru a thorough and comprehensive PT program with excellent physical therapists. I highly recommend Dr. Hines and his Emerge Ortho team!

Dr. Hines is an excellent physician and surgeon. He is also extremely knowledgeable, warm and caring. He performed my right knee replacement surgery to perfection, and he also corrected the windswept complication that I had due to too many years of osteoarthritis. At exactly a year later, my right knee feels great and the x-rays show that the replacement was a complete success. I highly recommend him!

I really appreciate all that Dr. J. Hines has done for me and my broken bones. He has taken the time to explain why I needed surgery and what will happen next. Dr. Hines also explained to my family what procedure he had performed and the home care that I needed. Thank you Dr. Hines for a job well done.
