Dr. Izdean Mufleh

Looking for a new doctor, I stumbled across Dr. Mufleh located in Boca, and decided to give him a call and schedule a visit. After a bit of a wait, we met with the doctor who scheduled me for bloodwork and other labs. The office then scheduled me for a Zoom call rather than an in-person appointment for a follow up, which seemed odd in light of the fact that their office was actually open. Nonetheless, I took the appointment and did my lab work. The appt was set for 11am and the office promptly took my copay. The only thing not there was the doctor, so the assistant told me she would call me back at 11: 20 to let me know when the doctor would be on the call. I didn’t receive a call at 11:20, about 11:35 she said the doctor was ready for my 11am appointment. This was simply too late as I had other plans. In no way did I expect the doctor to be 35 mins late for a Zoom call since I had other dr appointments this way and usually the doctor was on-time knowing that, unlike in the… office, people expect you to be prompt so you can move on with your day. We had rescheduled for that Monday then to see the doctor in person. I was having massive pain in my side and left a message for the office telling them I was a little late as a result of the pain. The office never listened to my VM and when I got to the office and told them I was in pain, they could have cared less. It was like I was any patient walking in for a routine physical—not one accommodation was made or was there any effort to get me in to be seen. Finally, I got taken back to a room, and reiterated the pain I was in. The nurse gave me an ice pack as she told me I look like I was going to pass out. She said she would tell the doctor to get him in fast. Sadly, the doctor took his sweet time, dealing with a patient who looked like he was in for a routine visit. After about 10 or 15 more minutes, the doctor waltzed in and asked me what was going on. I told him about the pain and he had no idea what it was. After poking around, he said it was probably a colon or small intestine problem. He said “nothing else” was located in the upper left abdomen. And then he said it was probably nothing but just to be sure told me to get a CT scan to rule anything else out. I went home and vomited three times so the doctor said we should go to the ER. After waiting in the ER, I met with a Physician Assistant (PA) who said there were a lot of things that were in the area I was having pain, Pancreas, could be a hernia, Kidney Stone, etc. Dr. Mufleh did not know these things that a PA with much less schooling knew right away. After some tests it was determined I had a very large Kidney Stone that almost kept me in the hospital. I was in excruciating pain and put on a lot of meds and told to get rest. The PA and the nurse from the hospital called me to see how I was doing. The only one who did not call was Dr. Mufleh, even though the hospital assured us he had the records. After not hearing from Mufleh’s office two days later, we called up to see what was happening. I asked to speak with the doctor, but was told he was with patients. The office claimed that it did not receive the hospital records, but then I told them about the large Kidney Stone I had and they just said sorry to hear that. Unlike a decent office where the nurse would say I’ll have the doctor give you a call as soon as he gets a break. Giving the office the benefit of the doubt, you would have thought the doctor would have called just to see how I was doing since he just sent me to the ER. The nurse said I could not speak to the doctor and would have to make an appt to speak with him. I said don’t worry I will never be seeing him again. Aside from being ignorant about his craft, this is the most uncaring doctor I have ever dealt with. You would get more warmth and caring from dealing with a foreign call center employee for the cable company. Consequently, I could not recommend anyone to Dr. Mufleh in good conscience.

Huge disappointment. Website looks impressive but nothing more than fancy marketing. Dr. kept yawning and his mask kept falling down. He literally spent 5 minutes with me and offered no insight about my health or supplement questions. Don’t waste your time.

Needed to find a new Primary Care Doc after my last one Retired. Based on the Great reviews, I gave Dr Mufleh a try. Its a brand new office right across from Town Center Mall. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Mufleh is both kind and knowledgable. i've seen many Doctors throughout the years. Some are kind, but not proficient. Some are Smart, but not very nice. Dr. Mufleh is Very Smart and a Very nice person. I Highly recommend him!
