Dr. Victor Tai Yong Pak, MD

Trying to get in to be seen for my initial consultation was about the only hic-up throughout my entire experience with Dr. Pak and his office staff. I had to wait over two weeks to have a fractured root with abscess evaluated. During that time I was suffering with pain, but held out because of the reputation of Dr. Pak which I heard from others. Once I got in to be seen, I can honestly say he didn’t disappoint. Seeing I was in pain, the doctor ordered his staff to fit me in for my extraction the next day. In addition to extracting lower right molar (31), at my request he also shaved an approximate 3/4 inch section of excess bone (tori) adjacent to teeth 31, 30 and 29. I have had multiple oral surgeries in the past, and this one was by far the least challenging physically, even though the tori removal made the overall scope of the procedure more challenging. After awaking from the anesthesia, I had obvious pain, however, it was nothing more than that of a level I had expected. … Furthermore, the extraction wound appeared very clean and concise, and bleeding was at a minimum. I think what really set Dr. Pak into the five Star level with me, was the fact he was cognizant of my medical history and aware of my allergy to penicillin and amoxicillin as well as my battle with chronic ulcerative colitis. As a result, he prescribed me Azithromycin as my post-op anti-biotic instead of Clindamycin, which was the anti-biotic previously prescribed to me by the referring dentist. Unbeknownst to me, Clindamycin is apparently a catalyst to ulcerative colitis flare. Not only did the good doctor educate me, he very likely may have saved me a lot of pain and suffering which is always the result of a ulcerative colitis flare. I can tell you for certain, I will be going back to Dr. Pak to have him remove the remaining tori from my mouth. I trust this doctor whole heartedly. Excellent oral surgeon.

From the consultation to the completion of my surgery, Dr. Pak and his staff put me at ease and gave me the best possible experience with oral surgery I have ever had in my life. I would recommend him above all others. Great work! Excellent service! Even went back to have additional work done. Very happy with all of it.
