Dr. Maria Danuta Urban, MD

I was diagnosed at birth with Turner Syndrome 32 years ago. I saw Dr. Urban until I was around 16, when she basically dismissed me as a patient. She would scold me about my appearance and weight, would never explain anything to me. Talked about me and my conditions as if I wasn't even in the room. I developed severe anxiety before every appointment, but she completely blew me off when I tried to talk to her about anything. I was basically treated like a science experiment by her and several other"doctors"; I wish my family could have taken legal action. It baffles me how this evil woman is still in practice, shame on Dayton Children's hospital!!

I am a 28 yr. Old woman diagnosed at birth with Turner Syndrome and saw Dr. Urban until I was around 16 years old. She would never explain anything to me, so I was always very confused growing up, thinking I was dying and that no one would tell me. She even told me that I would likely never have boyfriends or get married due to my appearance. I was bounced back and forth to every specialist in Dayton Ohio Children's hospital. I was a living science experiment. I currently have depression and anxiety disorder because of this and am pursuing therapy to help me move on. I would never wish a nightmare like this on anyone and in retrospect wish my family could have taken legal action.

I saw Dr. Urban as a child. She saw me as a difficult adolescent and scolded me for everything that went wrong with my diabetes. She eventually fired me as a patient and to this day I continue to see a therapist because each Doctor I see I fear will fire me. She was the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I needed help with my diabetes because the hormones as I moved into adolescents were creating havoc with my blood sugars and she refused to treat me.

I use to see Dr. Urban when I was younger and she was wonderful. She was very intelligent and always explained everything thoroughly.
