Dr. Katherine Kottwitz, also known as Dr. Kate, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and CEO of Amelia Aesthetics in Evansville, Indiana, where she specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. Known for her thoughtful, patient-first approach to breast and body surgery, Dr. Kate takes the time to understand your goals and create a personalized treatment plan designed to achieve natural-looking, balanced results. Dr. Kottwitz completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year.

Before joining Amelia Aesthetics, Dr. Kate practiced as a staff plastic surgeon at Deaconess Clinic, serving patients across Indiana and Kentucky. She now leads her own practice within Amelia Aesthetics in Evansville, where she continues to provide comprehensive aesthetic care.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and maintains active medical licenses in both Indiana and Kentucky. Dr. Kottwitz is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, staying closely connected to the latest advancements in her field.

Dr. Kate has been recognized throughout her career for her dedication to excellence in both patient care and education. She received multiple “Excellence in Teaching” awards during her residency and was honored as the Mark A. Codner Aesthetic and Breast Fellow.

In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to research in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with published work and presentations focused on breast surgery, reconstructive techniques, and evidence-based care.
