Dr. Kleinhenz performed my ALIF surgery in July. I am now almost pain free and I feel like I have my life back thanks to him! Throughout the entire process (pre-op, the surgery and hospital stay, and post-op), Dr. Kleinhenz was extremely professional, knowledgable and patient with any questions or concerns that I had. I am now almost 6 months post-op and am able to do everything I couldn't for a long time before deciding to have surgery. I also appreciated the fact that Dr. Kleinhenz never pushed the decision of surgery on me. In fact, he recommended I try numerous other treatments for my back pain before deciding to have surgery. I spent a year after seeing him for the first time trying multiple other treatments to see if I could avoid surgery, but none worked. I decided to have the surgery and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. If you are considering back surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Kleinhenz. I had a incredibly successful and positive experience.

Prior to my surgery, I heard how back surgery was ‘risky’. But prior to my surgery, my pain level was a 10 when I walked. Dr Kleinhenz performed a decompression fusion of my lumbar. After 2 weeks I was walking without a walker with no pain (still needed PT to get strength back in my legs). The visiting nurse told me that she has a patient who had the exact same surgery and after surgery, his pain level was 7 and 8. His surgeon was not Dr Kleinhenz. Dr Kleinhenz is the difference. He has a great personality/bedside manner (he’s chill so he keeps you calm). Enough about Dr Kleinhenz, his staff is equally great. When I talked to his PA (Kailey), I felt like was talking to the doctor. And anyone from his staff that came by in the hospital (for example, Kevin) were great. A caring group of professionals.

My experience with Dr Kleinhenze was nothing short of fantastic. Originally I was being followed by another physician who unfortunately had to remove himself from my case and handed my case over to Dr. Kleinhenz just a month before the surgery. I have to say I was a bit nervous not really having had the time to get to know him but I proceeded anyway and I have no regrets . Dr Kleinhenz performed my extensive back surgery with utmost professionalism and a wonderful outcome. His bedside manor is very comforting and he and his staff are very understanding and reassuring. He is highly recommended by me!!!
