Dr. Brandon Scott Rehrer, MD

PLEASE do your research before choosing Dr. Brandon Rehrer @ Beacon Oral Surgeons. He was unprofessional, rude, and his after care is unacceptable. If you are a person with anxiety, AVOID this practice. My child was mocked by a staff member and asked “Why are you acting like this?” for crying before sedation. Denied requests for anti-anxiety med prior to surgery (it IS offered at other practices) and horrid after-care (was not given correct pain med dosing info repeatedly) and did not address patient’s needs. Told to call at any time with concerns and doctor was extremely angry to get a call at 3am. Had to take vomiting/dehydrated child in extreme pain to Urgent Care to get pain management administered intramuscularly . Did not return pages/calls multiple times in a row and attacked me because “doesn’t he deserve a Christmas?” (On Christmas Eve Day) The icing on the cake was being told that he “didn’t care what we needed “ and that “my daughter was not special!”

Dr. Rehrer and his staff provided excellent care and exceeded my expectations.

Dr Rehrer is great with kids. Each time he's treated one of our kids, he's taken the time listen to us and address our concerns. You can tell he takes pride in his work really wants the best possible outcome. He's especially good at developing a rapport with kids to put them at ease. He has five kids of his own -- so that connection comes easily for him. He's a smart guy, but takes the time to make sure we understand the procedure, any alternatives, pros/cons, and anticipated outcomes. I've learned that dentistry is an increasingly competitive profession. As a result, many dentists seek to supplement their revenue by performing work that has traditionally been done by oral surgeons. Most dentists don't have the specialized training required of oral surgeons. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or other complex procedures, you're far better off using an oral surgeon. Beacon OMS seems like an outstanding group of professionals and Dr Rehrer gets my highest recommendation.
