Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Growing up in Benin, West Africa, I watched my fourteen-year-old cousin, who suffered from epilepsy, struggle with finding appropriate care. This ignited in me the passion of pursuing a career in medicine. My love for children and my strong interest in education guided me to choose a career in Pediatrics.What I want my patients to know about me:I'm happy to have found my passion and love taking care of children. It is an absolute honor and privilege to watch my patients grow and to play an important role in their life. I want my patients and their family to openly discuss their concerns with me without hesitation. I promise to carefully listen and provide appropriate explanations and management plans that are suitable to my patients.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I love spending time with my family. I love everything outdoors and spend time hiking, walking and finding new trails. I also enjoy cooking and dancing.
