I went in after being referred by my primary dentist for all 4 wisdom teeth to be extracted. They lied about the pricing for one, did not tell me I needed to bring my x rays from my primary doctor after asking them did I need to bring in anything additional, then proceeded to tell me the day of that I did need the x-rays and that it was my responsibility to bring them in. On top of all that my face is still numb 4 days post surgery only to find out I may or may not get the feeling back in my face for 6months or possibly never because of a cut , stretched or damaged nerve.

Dr. Katz is the man!! Painless kind and his staff is the best too!!

Do NOT go to this dentist unless you want to be overcharged for surgical fees. I initially went for removal of two wisdom teeth and I agreed to local anesthesia. The doctor then continuously persuaded to me to remove all four with general anesthesia. I repeatedly asked what the total charges will be with my insurance coverage. I was told by Dr. Katz that my insurance company fully covers the wisdom tooth extraction procedure, which to be honest, I was suspicious of that being accurate. But, I stupidly took his word for it, which he asked the assistant to confirm with the receptionist. I was flat out LIED to!! Do not go to this surgeon.

Initially I was told incorrect information regarding the payment plan. Then we came for our appointment and the dr was 2 hours late. He said due to snow though we live an hour away too. Then it was a flat tire uh huh. Then he said I couldn’t stay until my son fell asleep but on the consultation he said I could. My son was witness to that. I was upset about not being there so they secluded his father and I in the back recovery room. So stupid on their part because it turned out I could hear my son SCREAM while he was supposed to be under sedation. Then they threatened calling 911 because I was extremely upset listening to my son SCREAMING! No parent should EVER hear the BLOODCURDLING SCREAM that came out of my son! They never called because they knew they were in the wrong across the board. In hindsight, he placed the surgical suites all the way in the back so that there is no chance anyone can hear the screams which they tried to tell me were normal. I worked for many years at an… conscious sedation dentist in the city and NEVER EVER heard a scream ever!!! He worked on anxious patients and children. Oh and Dr. Katz never came in to tell us all went well or anything. There is no follow up as standard procedure at the office according to his staff and we went out the back door because the people in the waiting room should never see what he does to a person. Never go to this surgeon! He is a MONSTER!!!!!!!

Wonderful bedside manner and the staff was very pleasant and accomadating! I will highly recommend him. I went in for tooth extraction and was over quickly.

Dr. Katz did not care that I was in pain after the surgery. He ignored me, and wouldn't prescribe anything for pain. I went back a week after surgery, and he called my pain, discomfort and told me I wouldn't be in pain after a week. I went back 5 weeks later, still in tremendous pain, again he did nothing to alleviate my pain. I finally saw a dentist and was told that of the 4 wisdom teeth that were removed, I still had 2 holes in my mouth on either side from surgery. This is what was causing tremendous pain because not only were they still opened, they were inflamed. The dentist put medication inside the holes and gave me an anti-inflammatory. I'm finally starting to feel better. Do not go to Dr. Katz, if you want a surgeon that cares and does his job!
