Dr. Writtika Roy, MD

Dr. Roy is not for everyone - she is direct, professional, and actually wants the best for you. With a field like psychiatry where patients deal with emotions/brain functionality, her approach to understanding the root cause and developing a personalized care plan worked wonders for my health and future well being. Not everyone is going to match/find perfect partnership with a mental health professional - but it is also on the patient to listen, follow up, and reach out. Dr. Roy has been nothing but extremely caring with my health plan.

Worst psychiatrist I've ever had.

Dr. Roy is extremely inexperienced and unprofessional in psychiatry. She judges her patients and behaves like a spoiled brat with privileges. Don’t waste your time or money.

Surprised to read the negative reviews. Dr. Roy has been amazing with me. I have been seeing her for about a year now. She genuinely cares about my well being and she spends quality time with me at each appointment. I have seen many psychiatrists and she is one of the best.

Dr. Roy is so uncomfortable to be around and pretty much just stares at you without much talk/personality. Seems as though she is very judgmental.

Dr. Roy is a GREAT psychiatrist: she listens to your symptoms and prescribes you medicine, and will work out the kinks with you. However, she doesn't really understand much outside of the psychiatry world. I am in recovery from anorexia and she didn't have much more than a textbook knowledge of what current eating disorder treatment consists of, which is understandable, but a little... off-putting. She is considerably lacking in bedside manner regarding *TW* the possibility of antipsychotic-related weight gain. However, if you see her in conjunction with a GP, therapist, and dietician, it works out great!

She has ZERO personality and it was like pulling teeth to actually get her to describe what she thought my treatment should be. She really is abnormal.

Dr. Roy actually sits and talks with you to diagnose mental issues. She does give medications also, but she is not your typical Psych Doc that throws a pill at you when you speak to them. This doctor actually maintains eye contact during conversation and seems to listen and care about your issues.
