I grew up in Poulsbo, Washington, and have spent most of my life in the Puget Sound area. I am married, and have two daughters, one living in Minneapolis and the other in Eugene, Oregon. I have always found eyes to be very interesting, given the combination of biology and physics. I was very involved with Science Olympiad when my daughters were in middle school.
