Dr. Brian Howard Dunn, MD

I was quoted approximately $45 dollars for a toe nail trim (I have a severe back condition) by office staff. Upon arrival, I was required to fill-out new patient paperwork - which isn’t too crazy since when I get a massage they want a history as well. Dr. Dunn came into the room and proceeded to trim my nails and grind them. No Vitals, no physical and etc - just a trim... The nice lady in front said they would send an invoice for payment. Wow, the craziness begins... I received a bill for just over $200 dollars and that was submitted to my insurance - hey, what happened to the 40ish dollars?? Later, I find out insurance paid a little over a hundred dollars and I was on the “ Hook“ for the rest. Not a bad day - brings in at one price and brings home just over $200 dollars for about 5 minutes of work. Now I know “things” are tough out there with the pandemic, but to take advantage of someone on a fixed income is appalling! I have to be honest, I did fill out the paperwork… completely revealing my insurance information and I should’ve been more careful, since I was there just for a toenail trim, which is exactly what I received and nothing else. I wasn’t there for medical advice or opinions, just a toenail trim - simple as that. I do have to wonder what he wrote in my medical record so that the insurance company would pay. Back to the nail salon for me!!
