Dr. Nathan J Maltezos, MD

I am new to the area and was looking for a new pain management doctor to continue treating me. Unfortunately, Dr Maltezos was condescending and dismissive of my concerns. He was judgmental, failed to take a full history on me, and was ultimately unable to provide any useful help. During the same visit, he offered medication, and then refused to prescribe it. His lack of compassion was upsetting. I was really hoping he could help me resolve my pain issue and safely taper me off medication. I was on medications for months under my former doctor’s supervision and suddenly stopping would actually be medically dangerous. Instead of talking to my former doctors to help form a plan, he directed to an emergency room during flu season, despite the fact that I am considered a medically complex patient.
