Dr. Perez, Dayana, Vanessa, Mirta, Lilli, Mariana, Stacy, Kat and Sandra E., are all amazing. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has an outstanding, top-tier Gastroenterology (GI) department that helps diagnose and treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), specifically, Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Each patient is different and the hospital has a lot of experience to draw from for successful treatment. My daughter is now in remission and I cannot be more grateful to the GI team everyone from the infusion center to the insurance authorization department to the Emergency Room folks to the GI floors to the ultrasound doctors to the psychology department…in short the whole team. The hospital setting and experience is not easy, especially for a young child, but these people made sure my daughter got out of her flareups and into remission in the fastest and best manner possible. IBD is not just a GI disease, it is also psychological and emotional and you will have all the support here.

I had a great experience at the gastroenterology office with Dr. Carla Perez and her assistant, Dayana. Dr. Perez is very helpful, attentive, and took the time to answer all of my questions with care. Dayana was also wonderful—friendly, organized, and made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. At checkout, Vanessa was extremely helpful and kind, making the process quick and smooth. The whole team was fantastic—I highly recommend them!

We went to see to Dr. Perez after several trips to our son’s pediatrician’s office. From the start, her assistant Dayana was incredibly responsive and helpful—she really came through for us by quickly setting up an appointment after we explained our concerns. I can't thank her enough for her understanding and support. Dr. Perez made time to see our son immediately, She took the time to listen to all our concerns and explained everything so clearly. I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Perez, Dayana and the rest of the team!
