Dr. Karyn L Goldberg, DPM

While Dr. Goldberg may be an adequate podiatrist with a small practice and bland personality at times, her office staff, mainly the so-called office staff manager Caroline of three years, make the trip to see her not worth it by any standard. In general, getting a hold of the office is a complete and utter nightmare, from the outdated answering options to office staff members and Dr. Goldberg not returning your phone calls. However, once you do get a hold of the office, be expected to be greeted with hostility and arrogance by the hellish office manager Caroline. Never have I ever experienced a more difficult person to deal with in a medical office than this individual in my entire life. She makes enduring the foot pain that you experience more manageable than the emotional endurance you need to survive a phone call with her while trying to make an appointment with the office or, in the worst-case scenario, want to speak to the doctor! She acts as if she sits on a royal throne of… authority, boastfully micromanaging patients while they are in the office and while you call, telling you what SHE has available, and if that doesn't work for you, well, that's too bad. To describe this office as inflexible, and by the office, I mean the office manager Caroline who might as well own and be the doctor at this point by the way she acts, would be a complete understatement. The office is tiny and has a small number of patients; why she is so inflexible and unwilling to work with patients to fit them in the schedule is beyond me but trust me, she isn't. Caroline has called me entitled, inflexible (for saying the one time she offered me doesn't work), and an unimportant patient since I don't come in often. Well, folks, here's what I suggest. Do not waste your time with this disgruntled, incompetent, and bully of an office manager. I found a great new practice in Millburn, 12 minutes away, called the Podiatry center. Dr. Howard Hyman is fantastic and highly recommended; go there to be treated like a valued patient, not like trash by a miserable office manager.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldberg's for over 20 years. She treats me, my husband and my two children. She is so caring and gentle. She always listens and is responsive to questions. She takes her time and doesn't rush you. I could not recommend a more ethical, respectful, and knowledgeable podiatrist.

I had a very bad heel spur and could barely walk. I went to see Dr. Goldberg and she prescribed exercises along with orthotics. The exercises gradually improved the pain and allowed me to get back to taking walks on a regular basis. I can now take long walks pain free for long periods of time. Dr. Goldberg is an excellent doctor, listens carefully, explains your diagnosis and takes the time to answer all of my questions to ensure I am comfortable and understand my treatment plan. I have come back with other foot issues and have received positive outcomes each time. I could not recommend a more caring and knowledgable podiatrist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goldberg’s for over 10 years. She has helped me with various foot problems over the years and she has always been kind, professional and patient. Most recently I saw her for severe foot pain I was having which made it almost impossible to walk. With her gentle treatment, I am now able to walk pain free! Dr. Goldberg always takes the time to explain treatment options and answer all of my questions. I am so thankful for her care. I also have brought my twins to see her and she is wonderful with them as well.

Most recently, Dr. Goldberg treated me for foot pain that made it almost impossible for me to walk. Under Dr. Goldberg’s care, I am now able to walk comfortably with no pain! She is very gentle in her treatment and she explained all treatment options. I also brought my twins to see her and she was wonderful with them as well!

I finally found a good podiatrist after suffering through foot and knee pain due to flat feet. Dr Goldberg took excellent care of me and found the right orthotics to help me. Her staff is the best. I would highly recommend her.

I travel from Staten Island to see Dr Goldberg. She makes me feel like I am her only patient that how much time she spends with you. She never rushes you and answers all of your questions.

Dr. Goldberg and her staff are great. She performed surgery on my toes. I am very pleased with the outcome and with the care that I received at Goldberg Podiatry. Dr. Goldberg will answer all questions and give very complete instructions for self care.

I waited a while to see the doctor even though I was on time for the appointment and the office staff is a little disorganized. But when I finally met Dr. Karyn I was pleased with the outcome of the visit.
