Dr. Mary R. Klein, MD

After being a patient of Dr. Klein's for over 5 years, I was abruptly dismissed from her care, not for any medical reasons, but for expressing frustration during a phone call regarding a serious and unresolved medical issue. I’m currently dealing with symptoms including numbness, chest sensations, dizziness, and balance issues that have been ongoing for months. I've followed recommendations, had an EMG which ruled out a pinched nerve, and was told I’m at risk for stroke. Multiple providers have recommended an MRI, but due to the way it’s being ordered, my insurance continues to deny it. When I asked the doctor’s staff for alternative solutions (such as ordering the MRI outside a hospital setting), I was told I would have to wait until the end of November and I was met with apathy and vague responses from her staff, like “I don’t know.” During this call, I let an expletive slip, not directed at anyone, but clearly out of desperation and anxiety over my situation. Instead of showing… compassion or understanding, especially knowing that I live with bipolar disorder and generalized anxiety, Dr. Klein chose to drop me as a patient. I am shocked and saddened by this lack of empathy and care from someone in the medical field. We expect our doctors to help us, especially when we’re overwhelmed or scared, not to turn away when things get difficult. If you are seeking a provider who is committed to patient advocacy and long-term care, I strongly encourage you to consider this experience before making your choice and go elsewhere!

I know Dr. Klein is very precise with her patients because she will take all the time necessary to help her patients. She genuinely cares for her patients and will do everything she can to address their concerns. She will make sure you are well taken care of and will not rush your appointment just to get patients in and out. She treats her patients as individuals and is very caring.

Dr. Klein is very professional and a very caring Dr. She can diagnose quickly and accurately and is very understanding and easy to talk to when you have questions. She has a good sense of humor, but also knows when to take things seriously. She is an excellent choice and I highly recommend her!

Dr. Klein goes the extra mile for her patients! She is a very caring person. Her staff...especially Tracy is amazing! The both of them really fought for me (get insurance to cover) to get on a medication so i could quit smoking (having surgery) and they did it within 2 weeks! I also quit smoking in 2 weeks on it! It feels good to go to a Dr. and have her spend time with you, and take you seriously! Very smart woman!
