Dr. Courtney Lynne Jones, DO

My children (now 9 and 10) have been going to Dr. Jones since she took over the MV office several years ago. She is so kind and patient with my kids. She engages them and listens to them as well as takes time to explain what she is doing and why it is important. She directly asks my children if they have any questions or concerns. I love that she does that. She and her staff have always been quick to return my calls or emails. We really appreciate her and the fact that she doesn't just scribble out medications and send us on our way but truly listens and takes whatever time needed to work together as a partner. She also referred my son to an amazing ophthalmologist who I am over the moon about. That visit was life changing for us. I am very surprised to see a poor review. But as a business owner myself, I know that sometimes, you can't please everyone, no matter what you do. I highly recommend Dr. Jones and the rest of her sweet staff.

We love Dr. Jones. I was seeing her with my twin boys when they were very little. She was so gentle and she would always praise me for what a great work I was doing. She recognized the hard work I had with newborn twins and a toddler on top. I would love to keep going to her, my three kids loved her, but unfortunately she's now too far from us.

Don't waste your time. She is cold and robotic. Her office is rude too. We visited her two times, one time too many. I will never go back. The first time was to sign a paper. The second was for a sick visit in which she did nothing. Her billing is a mess as well.

Dr. Jones and her office staff are completely RUDE, INCOMPETENT, UNORGANIZED, and UNPROFESSIONAL. Do yourself a favor and find a different pediatrician before something like this happens to you and your family... Dr. Jones was fine at first... then we needed a referral for a heart murmur our 4-month-old had and we learned from the referred doctor they didn't accept our HMO insurance, much to our surprise we were confused as to why our Pediatricians office would refer us to someone who didn't accept our insurance. It turns out Dr. Jones didn't accept our insurance either. We provided our insurance multiple times, but their office apparently never verified it. We were extremely confused and frustrated that we not only had to find a cardiologist to check out the murmur, but we now had to find a new Pediatrician. Not to mention, we had to figure out how to resolve this matter with Dr. Jones' office. What if we didn't need a referral and we would have continued to go to their office for… however long? Would they have ever verified our insurance? Would we "owe" them thousands of dollars? The entire staff is completely clueless and unprofessional. We spoke to multiple people, emailed, and got multiple different responses. We asked for a bill to try to figure out what we owed without having the acceptable insurance and we were sent a 'superbill' that was completely unreadable. When we asked for something more clear we never received anything and we were told to work with the billing department because it wasn't their issue. The billing department said they would look into it and get back to us-- they never did. Keep in mind, we found Dr. Jones in an In-Network HMO portal through our employer insurance. We contacted the insurance company to see if she in fact was apart of the HMO network and they confirmed she was. They also informed us that it was the doctor's responsibility to update this. After over a year of not hearing anything from Dr. Jones' office or the billing department, we figured they determined the mistake was in fact on their end and it had been resolved. We were wrong! We received an email stating we had a pending balance, during Covid no less, and when we replied to the email - SHOCKER - no one returned our email. We then received a letter in the mail with a past due balance with 15 days to pay to avoid collections. I then called and asked to speak to Dr. Jones directly. She called me back hours later and was extremely rude and tried to hang up on me multiple times when I was just trying to figure out what the charges were exactly. She told me to contact her OLD billing department that she no longer even used. When we spoke to them, they said this was not the first time something like this happened in her office and that they were no longer able to help us because of the timeframe and the fact that they no longer did billing for her office. We also contacted our Veterans Affairs insurance to see why they weren't paying the bills that covered our son for the first 7 days of his life and they explained that Dr. Jones' office submitted the bills incorrectly multiple times. We then called her together to inform her of this and she was again extremely rude to the VA billing rep and said she would submit them correctly. About 3 months later we received one voicemail the week of Thanksgiving and we called back and had to leave a message which again went without response, only to receive a collection notice a few days later! Completely screwing us over!!! Keep in mind, we also just received notice of additional VA benefits backdated that would cover the entire 4 months we were seen by her if she had just communicated with us and submitted her bills correctly. Mediocre Pediatrician and completely unprofessional.
