Dr. Catherine Ping Chen-Tsai, MD

I was basically abused in her office - she gives pain blocking shots way too fast and you feel the whole thing. I know this because I had a small biopsy and also a large mole taken off my leg.She has a temper ,acts insecure if you ask her to please slow down a bit and look more carefully at all your moles. It wouldn't have hurt her at all to make me feel more assured that I got a truly comprehensive body exam. But she just quickly glances and claims you're fine and this is without an exam light too. Didn't even look at the back of my neck where I have other moles. I have lumps or cysts or something on my scalp but she never told me what they were, just that "she's seen larger ones before" after feeling around on my scalp. It's like you have no say as a patient without her getting an attitude, and she wants to really rush EVERYTHING. People deserve better than that when their health is on the line. I still have no idea what's wrong with my scalp but I'm going to find a decent… dermatologist and see them instead.

I am so blessed to have found Dr. Catherine Chen-Tsai! I have suffered from a severe case of psoriasis on my hands for over 10 years with no relief from several doctors. Dr. Chen Tsai is not the type of Dr. that tells you that you are "out of options" for a cure. She's not afraid to think out of the box and try new treatments or methods until she finds something that works. Dr. Chen-Tsai did not give up on me and after 2 months my hand psoriasis is at least 90% clear! She is definitely a keeper!

This was our first experience with a dermatologist so I didn't know what to expect. The office was very busy but we got in within 10 minutes of arriving for our appt. Dr. Chen and her assistant were caring, warm and informative. They made my teenage daughter feel comfortable and confident in their knowledge. Dr. Chen was quick to biopsy a growth and refer us to another specialist. She called me within a few days with the biopsy report and to check on my daughter. I am so happy to have found this doctor! She is a great example of a caring physician. Very rare indeed.

Dr Chen is superb! If the problem is something she can't handle, she will send you to the appropriate doctor. Always tells you exactly what she is doing. She & staff are alway kind and caring. Do not rush to get you out.

The doctor could not recognize an obvious skin condition even while it was getting worse visit after visit. The other specialist that I had to see for a second opinion figured it out in an instant and since then I recovered.

100% patient focused, greath warmth of personality, attention to detail, very caring. Highly recommended.

I have seen a derm regularly however I just moved to AZ and had to find a new Dr. I was mortified by Dr. CHen's bedside manner or lack there of. She was incredibly rude. In addition, I had to wait for over an hour to be seen. Would not recommend her at all. The office staff was average at best.

Outstanding care. Always searching for the latest treatments. Interested in her patients. A positive influence no matter what the diagnosis is. I'm so thankful she is my doctor.

Dr. Chen-Tsai is a very thorough and capable doctor. She follows up with test results in a timely manner. In addition, she is personable and caring.
