Dr. Benjamin Thomas Christensen, MD

His “result” was full of typos and mixups with someone else. His examiner forgot there are 3 hands on a clock, and told me I have impaired visual memory skills. He got nervous and doubled down, gaslighting me that the second hand doesn’t exist. There was a clock right next to him LOL!! I am a certified graphic designer and design products for a few local companies despite only being a freshman in college so it’s become a joke in our family. He also forgot to take ChatGPT indicators off of his results HAHA

Dr. Christensen is polite and seems to listen well, but doesn't seem to have a lot of answers. I couldn't tell whether he just didn't want to be bothered with us or if he genuinely didn't have a clue what was going on. He didn't offer any further testing options either. He just said to come back if symptoms persisted. I later learned that he has only been practicing a few years so I'm assuming it's just simple lack of knowledge and experience.

This particular IHC clinic is actually a great clinic and has very competent doctors, with the exception of Dr. Christensen. He has great bedside manner, I'll give him that, but he is a "hurry and check the box" type of physician. If you have one of 20 illnesses that fall under the extremely common umbrella, I'm sure your experience with him will be just fine. However, if you have anything out of the ordinary, he will tell you he "doesn't know where to go from here" (at least he's honest about his limited medical knowledge) and/or he "has to be able to build a case" for any future testing or referrals. Followed by, "just come back and see me in a few months if the symptoms persist". This is a polite way of saying, "I have no clue, I'm in a hurry to get to the next patient, and I can't be bothered to dig a little deeper. I immediately left and scheduled a follow up appointment with a different doctor in the same facility, and they had me tested, diagnosed, treated, and feeling much… better within two visits.

Dr. Christensen and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. He was very attentive to my questions, and showed an honest desire to help with any concerns I had. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a new family doctor.
