Very disappointed in this doctors office. Setup an appointment for my wife with this doctor since she spoke Burmese and English is a second language for my wife. Scheduling the visit with the staff was normal however on the morning of the appointment we receive a call advising us that in addition to the normal office deducible we would have to pay an additional $100 at the time of the appointment. I’ve have many doctors in my life and I’ve never heard of this practice. They told me this was a policy they followed but this is clearly not an industry standard and if this was the case why wasn’t this disclosed when we first made the appointment. I contacted our insurance company and the agent I spoke to said she had never heard of this type of a policy either. After waiting nearly 6 weeks for the appointment it felt like extortion to me since canceling the appointment would result in having to find an alternate doctor and having to wait for a new appointment. But we canceled it… anyway since this was our first impression and it was so poor we didn’t want any other surprises.
