Dr. Brad J Capawana, MD

Our experience with Dr. Brad Capawana has been extremely painful for our family, especially for our high-school-aged daughter. She underwent bunion surgery on both feet with him, and multiple specialists who evaluated her afterward told us the procedures were far too aggressive and outdated for her age and condition. Because of this, she has already required one revision surgery and still needs another on the other foot. This has meant long-distance drives to see specialists, numerous additional tests and scans, repeated anesthesia, and long recoveries. She has missed years of sports, endured significant pain, and is currently recovering from yet another major surgery - something no teenager should have to face due to a preventable surgical outcome. We filed formal complaints with both the hospital (Pullman) and the Washington Department of Health. Despite the extensive corrective work now required, both concluded that the “standard of care was met.” That determination does not… reflect the reality of what our daughter has endured or with the opinions of the specialists who treated her afterward. I am sharing this review so other families can make fully informed decisions. Our daughter’s experience has been heartbreaking, and I would not want anyone else to go through what she has.
