Dr. Edward Gleen Appelbaum, MD

After being injured on the job, I was tasked with finding the right doctor to look at my knee. My knee was constantly in pain and hindered me from doing everyday tasks. When I met Dr Appelbaum, I knew he was the right doctor for me. He was polite, professional, and listened to all the concerns pertaining to my injury. After receiving the results of my MRI, he showed me that I had torn my meniscus. We went over all of the options from pain management to surgery. He explained in detail the negatives and positives of making a choice. He didn't push me to make any specific decision and told me that he can get me back to my everyday activities either way. After considering all of the options that we went over, I decided to get the surgery. I was able to make an appointment to get it done in a short amount of time. All of the staff in the surgery department were once again, polite and professional. They were constantly checking on me to make sure that I was comfortable prior to going in for… the surgery. The procedure was quick, and I was out of the facility within a few hours. After the surgery, I only had a slight discomfort for a few days. When I returned for a follow up with Dr Appelbaum to get my stitches out, he showed me exactly what was done during my surgery and said that I was healing nicely. It has been a few months since the surgery, and I can honestly say that I am back to the same life that I had prior without any pain (I did not take any pain medication at all during the process). I want to say THANK YOU to Dr Appelbaum and the Regional Orthopedic staff for everything that they have done for me; you are greatly appreciated! You will definitely be recommended in the future.
