The Suboxone program here is a great opportunity for patience with substance abuse problems to receive help in maintaining a healthy and positive life. The office is in a convenient location that allows accessibility to all patients. Also, booking appointments with early availability is efficient. Here is the downfall, the doctors and staff who manage their time in the office is a horrendous experience for patients. Appointments can be made with ease, but the doctors does not meet with their patients at the designated time. It is unexcusable for patients to wait an hour and a half to two hours after their appointment to see the doctor. The staff is not helpful either because they book all the appointments, yet those appointments are thrown out the window when patients are seen at sporiac times. The point is if a patient makes an appointment at 3:00 pm and it is expected for him/her to show up on time in order to be seen, then the doctor should make an effort to see the patient… at a reasonable time. Witth in the last two experiences, a patient waited 2 hours after his appointment to be seen. Sobriety and making a commitment to attend all appointments in a timely fashion is a priority. It is also a priority for a patience with substance abuse issues to build a functional life that will involve other simple commitments like going to school, attending NA meetings, going to work/interviews, taking care of your family, and/or going to other appointments. Spending and setting 4 hours ( 1 hour of commute by MBTA, 2 hour wait after appointment, 1 hour commute back) aside once a week to spend at the doctor's office is not right nor is it functional if you have other commitments to fulfill that are just as important. *** See your patients ON TIME because what is the point of appointments if the doctors and staff do not stick to it. And reorganize your staff and system to manage your time efficiently.

The suboxone program is a great tool to help patients who struggle with substance abuse get back on track with living a healthy lifestyle. However, appointments booked for patients are unreliable. The staff will have patients wait over an hour and half just to see the doctor. Now, this is not right because the office expects patients to be on time, too. That same expectation should be applied to doctors. If not, then there needs to be reorganization in the system and staff to deliver efficient service. Not every patient can clear a 3 hour time slot just to WAIT for the doctor, never mind be seen.
