Dr. Sanjeev Madanlal Wasan, MD

Dr. Wasan is an amazing caring doctor. He calmed my fears of having a bad experience as I did 13 years ago. He thoroughly explains the procedure. His entire office staff is outstanding. He is worth the wait for an appointment. The whole procedure went extremely well. Inova Loudoun Surgical Center was incredible - From the person who called for pre op instructions, admissions, and every single nurse and specialist I had encountered was clearly the best of the best. I can now say, “see Dr. Wasan and don’t let fear stop you from life saving preventative treatment.” You will be in great hands with his excellent care and team!

Dr. Wasan has a good bedside manner, is extremely capable as a surgeon, and will try to help you in anyway he can. However, be forewarned: have them first confirm with your insurance anything that they're advising and ordering for you to do, such as tests, etc. I have been saddled with a $600 allergy testing bill from Quest Diagnostics that was ordered by Dr. Wasan, but was not authorized through Aetna first and insurance will not pay for it, even after second level appeals and justification letters from Dr. Wasan. I asked Dr. Wasan's receptionist if they'd meet me half way with the bill as realistically I trusted them to be looking out for my best interests with these tests, but they were quick to say "No." Lesson learned.

Dr. Wasan is kind, patient and listens to you. I am not the most compliant Crohn' s patient and Dr. Wasan never treats me like a child if I don't follow this life long protocol perfectlly. His staff is professional, prompt, kind and very helpful. Thank you for your understanding.

My husband initially saw Dr. Wasan for the dreaded colonoscopy, then when I had troubles that indicated a life changing disease, I went right to Dr Wasan mostly because of the ease of communication with him (great English) which is rare in Sterling, VA, but also because in 3 visits my husband's life long troubles were resolved. Dr Wasan joined me in this journey that hasn't been fun, and he is by far the only Dr I've ever seen than combines what is needed to fight a disease with his patient's life. He didn't compromise my care, he taught me how to live the best I could through the treatment. Now my Mother In Law is in intensive care with a horrible condition called C-Diff, of course when the Dr asked if we had a preference we asked that Dr Wasan be brought in. Against all odds, she is coming home soon.

Dr Wasan is a wonderful Dr and has GREAT bedside manner. He stops and spends time with you, no rushing. I am so impressed. I switched from another GI who I wasn't impressed with. I highly recommend him.

WHEN I COULD NOT GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY REGULAR GASTROENTEROLOGIST FOR MONTHS, DR. WASAN'S OFFICE WAS FAST TO ACCOMODATE ME. I WAS SO HAPPY WITH HIS ATTENTION AND KINDNESS. I WILL STAY RIGHT WHERE I AM!

My overall experiences with Dr. Wasan have been outstanding. He has always taken his time with me and has answered all of my questions. If options were available he would let me know what the outcome for each of them would be and at the same time let me know which one he would prefer for me to take. I have always trusted his judgement and so far he has never been wrong. I would highly reccommend his services to anyone.
